Very Good Idea but parts superfluous.

About Me Professional

Pros

  • Deep Soak

Cons

  • Extra Parts not necessary
  • NO Oil Ribbed Bronze
  • NO Parts available

Best Uses

Comments about American Standard Deep Soak Max Drain:

The package at [@] contains a drain assembly and two overflow pipes in every finish EXCEPT one of the most popular, Oil Rubbed Bronze. Unnecessary extra parts. The drain assembly could be made of less expensive off-the-self ABS / PVC fittings. The drain stopper and overflow ONLY should be available separately. But there are NO replacement parts available "at this time". The idea is very good, a DEEP whirlpool / soaking tub but I now have an extra overflow pipe, an extra white drain cover, an extra white drain stopper and larger carbon footprint!

How does the cover come off the Deep Soak Max Drain 1640.305? It's brand new but not working properly (i.e., drains from the bottom, rather than the top, which means we can't get a full bathtub of water). Please help; thanks1

      • Q:

I'm considering purchasing 2422VC whirlpool tub. I need an alcove tub with right hand drain. Listed as "optional components" are 9261.019 (five foot apron panel) and 751755-100 (tile bead kit). If I don't purchase the apron, will the guts of the tub be on display? Tub surround will be tiled. Is it necessary include the tile bead kit?

The 2422VC is a drop in tub. You might consider the 2425VC-RHO/LHO tub. It is the same tub but made for alcove with a built on tile flange and apron. Thank you.
