    I need to find a bypass shower door for a 43" wide opening. Your doors all seem to be sized 40-42" or 44'+. Do you have any bypass doors that would meet the 43" dimension?

  • Q:

    Considering the 795.422 doors for a tub. available from Home Depot in up to 60 inch width x 71.5 high. Tile goes 73" above tub, so it should look okay. spec says 3" thickness, and i assume that is the top rail. what thickness is the bottom rail? (important because my tub does not have straight sides.)

    I have installed the shower door model number AM00730.422.224. I am on step 11 of the installation guide. The nylon bottom guide shown in the instructions show two #6 x 3/8 pan head screw will be needed. The nylon bottom guide I received has only one entry for screw and came with one screw. The guide does seem to fit a little snug on the bottom of the interior door. Is this the correct nylon bottom guide for this installation. I am afraid over time the door will be worn from the nylon bottom guide rubbing against the bottom of the interior door. The bottom guide number is SC4008 with screw SCR11.

      You must have an older version of the installation instructions. The nylon guide was changed for just one screw, and it does sound like you have the correct guide.

  • Q:

    I am looking a purchasing a pretige bypass shower door framed system to replace an existing door system. The bottom of the opening is 40.5" and the top is 41". When talking to Lowes the range to order a custom door is 40-42" and when we are finished it states the final width is 40". Does the top rail and bottom rail come as 42" and then you trim that to the appropriate bottom and top width?

      Yes, the top and bottom rails will require triming to fit the opening.

    I would like to know if this model, with the "reeded" glass is available in 58 inches wide for a new shower stall. I would also like the brushed nickel finish. I am having a very difficult time finding a glass that provides privacy that I like. Please help! If not the reed glass, do you have any "frosted" glasses?

      The glass thickness of a framed door really depends on what is available at the time the door is manufactured. 1/4" and 3/16" are the most common thicknesses. When a door is framed, the thickness of the glass really does not matter as much as it is encased in the frame. Home this helps.
