          We bought two of these in blackened bronze for jack-n-jill baths. Within a few weeks one of them started having a constant stream of water that would not shut off. We contacted the company and were sent I belive a replacement cartridge. Now, a couple of months later, the other one is doing the same thing! On top of that, I hate the finish. The blackend bronze spots very easily, and is difficult to clean. You cannot just wipe down with water as the instructions say. I am very disappointed with the quality and finish.

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

            Installed this porcelin cross handle Hampton model a little more than 3 years ago and other than the usual weekly damp wiping fit and finish are problem free. The washerless ceramic cartridge design is a joy as I was previously replacing the neoprene washers yearly due to this being a high useage family bathroom. Parts availability was another reason American Standard was the right choice. Replacment parts readily available but be aware porcelin handles are NOT covered by American Standard lifetime warranty and are quite expensive

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              This item has been replaced 13 years old same faucet. Old ones has no trouble but clear coat peeled off and many detail worn off. New one looks similler but different finish method (no clear coating) and using many plastic parts. Instlation and smoothness has been better than old model.

              Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                My cold water handle is difficult to turn. I am trying to remove the handle base from the escucheon but find this impossibly difficult. I have applied liquid wrench to unfreeze the parts but to no avail. Any suggestions? I think I need to tighten the unit against the deck, but cannot remove the handle base.

                  The escutcheon and handle base may be removed together. Once these are removed they can be replaced with new parts which can be supplied by American Standard. Please call 1-800-442-1902 options 1-4-1 to order replacement parts.

                We purchased and installed the American Standards Ridgley Center-set Lavatory Faucet with Speed Connect Drain - model 7094vcf. The installation was fine, but there seems to be be a small drip coming from the bottom back right side of the metal nut that mounts the drain to the sink. A person at the store we purchased from thinks the drip is due to the foam gasket, and thinks we should replace the foam gasket with plumber's putty. American Standard's customer service isn't sure what the problem is and wants to send us a whole new drain, including flange and foam gasket, since the problem could be the foam gasket or a pin hole in the drain.

                The drain wouldn't be that difficult to reinstall if it had a larger plastic nut (available on other American Standard models), instead of the slim metal nut currently mounting the sink which requires a wrench to turn.

                Any ideas as to what the problem could be or do you agree with any of the above diagnosis?

                  A:

                  The leak as you describe would not originated from the sponge gasket. The sponge gasket seals the basin so it can hold water. It appears there may be an issue with either the underside of the lavatory, the rubber gasket or the installation. It may be necessary to remove the drain assembly and inspect the condition of the mounting surface on both the rubber gasket and the underside of the lavatory for imperfections. This will aid in determining the underlying cause of the problem.

                the hot water handle cartridge valve for the hampton sink faucet is leaking. so i took apart the handle, and ordered a new valve, but i can't get the old valve out of the pipe connection. i would like to just get a new one, and be done with it, but no plumbing supply stores here carry the connection, and you don't list a part number on the drawing, even though it is on the drawing. where can i find the connection i need?
