  • Q:

The hot water just dribels out, but the cold water comes out fine. We have hard water here. Do we need to replace a cartridge?
Asked on 10/20/2010 by ARK from Carlsbad, CA

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

You may have an obsrtuction on the hot water side. Try shutting off the water, removing the cartridge and flushing out both the cartridge and the line. This should clear any debris that may be present in the valve.

  • Q:

I have a garden tub and want to add a handshower to it. Is this the product I am looking for.
Asked on 9/17/2010 by Amy from Atlanta GA

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

It depends on whether you already have a tub filler (faucet) already installed. If you are starting from scratch and are just installing this tub for the first time, the product you would want is the 2555.901 which includes the hand shower.

If the tub filler is already installed then you may not be able to add a hand shower. Your best bet would be to consult with your plumber to see if it is possible to add the hand shower on a pre-exisitng installation.

  • Q:

Can you install the rough-in valve prior to tiling the surface of the tub? I am confused on whether the trim can be installed at a later date.
    Asked on 9/14/2010 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

The rough valve is typically installed prior to the installation of tile. This allows for easier access when sweating or threading pipe. The trim is installed at a later time.
