        Comments about American Standard Williamsburg 8" J-Spout Bathroom Faucet:

        Finish has held up well, no problems with function, leaks, drips etc.
        Sink stopper was balky to adjust to increase drainage, finally figured out to disconnect stopper cable below sink, push stopper all the way down and reconnect, now drains fine.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          • Q:

            Both my hot AND cold Williamsburg handles suddenly got very “tight” (hard to turn on and off), and then very “loose” (extremely easy to turn on and off). After they became “loose”, the water flow had slowed considerably (about half of what it was). It was an acceptable flow rate to me so I didn’t think much of it.
            TODAY however, there is NO water flowing from EITHER the hot OR the cold side. I removed the aerator, checked it, flushed it and replaced it and still NO water is coming out of the faucet. I even left the aerator OFF and turned the water on and STILL NO water comes out. The valves are both on and I see no kinks in the hose.
            What’s the problem and what do I have to do to fix this?

              The handles are removed by lifting the index cap off the top of the handle and inserting a flat tipped screwdriver to remove the handle screw. Once the screw is removed, the handle pulls stright out of the base. The base is then removed by turning counter clockwise releasing it from the threaded eschutcheon.
