      The aerator just threads off. You will need to unscrew it.

  • Q:

    The handle on the cold water faucet won't move any more. Probably calcium build-up or something, as I have hard water. I've sprayed it with a calcium remover substance also. I can't get it apart further than the little cap on the top, the screw inside loosened and the handle/lever ball mechanism pulled up part way, exposing the inner tube. Now it's stuck. Any suggestions short of calling the handyman? And, if I have to replace it, what parts do I need to purchase?

      A:

      Try to work some CLR into the handle ball where the screw hole is to aid in breaking down the calium deposits. The handle base can also be taken loose by turning counter clockwise and you may be able to pry the handle base and handle ball up with a flat tipped screw driver. In the event parts are damaged in the process of removal, replacement parts can by ordered by calling 1-800-442-1902 options 1-4-1

    I have installed a 2908.222, and after installation find that the faucets work backward from what I would like. That is, on is clockwise for hot, and counter for cold. I think that is simply a matter of reversing the cartridges in the valve assemblies, but can't easily unscrew them (I don't want to force and break them). Is it as simple as removing all above the valve escutcheon and then unscrewing the cartridge? It seems the only way, but ...
