There is an access panel that fits this tub. It is the 9360.018 apron. You will have to get the cost for the point of purchase.

  • Q:

    Can this tub be undermounted?
Asked on 6/23/2011 by dee from mass

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

It can as long as the tub is supported as directed in the installation instructions provided with the unit. Also the material used to under mount must be self supporting. We do not provide instructions for under mount. That would be up to the installer. Thank you.

  • Q:

We have a ~5' x 28" tub presently, and I'm wondering/hoping that the "32" measurement here would allow two people to fit in the tub a bit more easily than the 28"...are there certain designs that are more comfortable for two (facing each other, not side by side)?
Asked on 8/15/2010 by Without a Tub from Bay Area, CA

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

      Hi Without a Tub,

The good news is that the bathing well on the Cadet 5'x32" tub will be wider than on your previous 5'x28" tub - the exact increase depends somewhat on the tub designs, but it should be about 4" as you would expect.

But a 32" wide tub is generally considered a one-person tub, and the shape of the Cadet bathing well was really designed for one-person. As an alternative, I would suggest you consider the new Studio 5'x32" bathtub with integral-apron. This tub has a very large, open bathing well and it will give you the best shot at having two people bathe together comfortably. The model number for this model is 2945102 (right-hand drain) or 2945202 (left-hand drain).
