What is the difference between the Crane Neu San Angelo 54" ArmorPlus Bathtub and the American Standard Mackenzie 54" Recessed Bath Tub? What does the reinforced with a RIM spray process forming a polymeric foam/steel structural composite mean?

Is Mackenzie 4 1/2' tub "Americast", or is porcelain on steel not necessarily Americast? I'm looking for Americast, but I need this specific size.

Th mackenzie 4-1/2' tub is an Enameled Steel tub, not an Americast tub. We do not currently offer an Americast tub in a 4-1/2' tub.

  • Q:

Interested in specifying bathtubs for affordable rental apartments. Drain/controls are located adjacent to fire-rated demising walls so unable to access plumbing after installation. Is there a tub one can access from the front skirt to repair plumbing? What type tub would you recommend for this application? Looking at 30 x 60 tub.
    Thanks

After several days of on-line surfing I think the MacKenzie 4½' Recess bathtub is what I am looking for, however your spec sheet drawings are little difficult for me to understand.
Please tell me the water level (to overflow) when using the deep soak special drain.
How many gallons of water will that require ?
