  • Q:

I am replacing a old tub which was walled on one side and one end with the drain and fawcets. The back end of the tub was finished and did not need to be supported by an end pony wall. Is there any tub that is finished on the end and one side?

  • Q:

I need a tub similar to this because it sets up against the wall on three sides however, my question is, is there anything deeper for a better soak? I have up to 23 inches to get it thru the door so I want to get the deepest possibility. The current American Standard tub I have is 59 long x 29 out from wall x 14 deep (which barely covers me without all the water running out of the overflow spout which is only about 9 inches up from the drain). Can you help suggest the best model to order ?

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

For general cleaning of the high gloss acrylic surface on bathtubs, whirlpools, and shower bases, we recommend using a mixture of warm water and a mild liquid dishwashing detergent, Granular Spic and Span mixed with water, or Gel Gloss. DO NOT use undiluted, strong detergents formulated for use on tile or porcelain enamel surfaces, or abrasive cleaning products.

  • Q:

I have the Princeton model tub. Do I need to put anything on sub floor prior to installation? I have heard to put roofing paper down to prevent noise.
Asked on 9/18/2010 by Mike from Woodbridge, Va

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

      Hi Mike,

Roofing felt is generally not required under the Princeton tub. In your case, if you feel that the subfloor material or condition may be prone to squeaking, you can use the roofing felt for an extra measure of prevention.

  • Q:

I'm looking to replace an existing tub to fit the opening of; 54" X 40". Do you have anything to fit? Everything I've been seeing is a "garden tub" with a step which brings the inside dimentions to about 27"-28" wide. That is too small for me. I need one WITHOUT the step. TY. (left hand with center rear drain).

      A:

We do offer a tub that will fit in your existing opening. It is the Mackenzie enameled steel tub, with dimensions of 54"x30". The model numbers for this tub are 0138.014 for Right Drain, and 0139.011 for the Left Drain model.

i have a three side wall area for this tub or any tub to fit. when measured wall to wall (no tile or anything) it is 58 1/2 inches. will this tub or any 60" tub fit?

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

      Hi Joanne,

Your tub alcove is probably slightly too narrow for most of our 60" tub models. As an alternative, you may want to consider our Mackenzie enameled steel tub which is 54" x 30".
