No, each faucet should have it's own mixing valve.

  • Q:

Can you give me an idea of the flow rate vs input pressure?
I will connect output to 2.5 GPM handshower. There is a spec here that gives 0.5GPM as the flow rate. I need 2.5 GPM. If this valve limits to 0.5GPM, then I can't use this valve. My pressure is about 70 PSI.
Also, the temperature regulation specs need to be reasonable at 2.5 GPM.

    Please advise for this application.

    • A:

the .5 flow rate means this valve will still meter the temperature down to this reduced flow rate even. Most other tempering valves require at least 1.5 gpm water going through them to work right. You would get the full flow of water from this valve.. 2.5+ gpm. The .5 gpm means, if you leave just a small amount of water running, you will still get the benefit of temperature control whereas other valves requiring greater flow rates would quit.

      A:

This reference regarding .5 gpm is limited to the performance of the valve at that rate for anti scald. The valve will allow for the actual flow rate of the faucet be it 2.5, 2, 1.5 or even .5 gpm. Given the fact you have 70 psi, the faucet will easily operate at the rated 2.5 gpm.
