        Normal recovery time is from 60 to 90 seconds. This depends upon the amount of water pressure there is to the vessel.

      I currently have three Cadet Model 2898.012 in my house. I am wondering if the tanks only can be replaced with the pressure assisted tank listed here 4098.100. I am not happy with the current gravity feed setup and instead of replacing the whole water closet I was hoping to swap out the tanks only. Are the specs on the bowls so much different that this CANNOT be done? Is this a possibility?

        A:

        Pressure assisted tanks are not designed to function with a gravity type bowl. If the bowl is a gravity type, a gravity tank will be required.

      1.1 gpf assisted toilet in not working properly, Good Water Pressure, Checked inlet screen (clean), Replaced B8106-03 Flush Valve Cartridge and it still does not flush properly, very weak and seems to have no pressure. What can I do, It is insalled in a commercial space and is needed very badly! This toilet has a high pressure only, not a dual system with high/low.

        It sounds like there may be an issue with the vessel itself, on the top of the vessel it should list a manufacturer and a cusotmer service telephone number. They will be able to help you with trouble shooting. Or you can contact American Standard customer service at 1-800-442-1902 and they will try to help trouble shoot.

        A:

        It sounds like the pressure vessel needs to be recharged. Turn the water off at the supply, hold the handle down to remove all air in the vessel. Let go of the handle and then turn the water supply back on, this should allow the vessel to fill back up with water. If this does not solve the issue, the vessel manufacturer should be contacted. The phone number is listed on the top of the vessel.

        This is known as a venting hole. It is soley for the manufacturing process of the toilet bowl.

        Pressure assisted toilets provide a very powerfull flush that compares to commercial flushometer type toilets. The Champion 4 is a gravity type high performance toilet that leads the industry in performance. Both toilets will operate reliably in a residential setting.
