American Standard’s Popular Cadet® Toilet is Reinvented for 21st Century Lifestyles
New EverClean™ Technology Helps Cadet® 3 Stay Cleaner Longer
CHICAGO, KITCHEN/BATH INDUSTRY SHOW (April 20, 2006) — A toilet that helps keeps itself clean sounds like a dream, but American Standard has made it a reality with the introduction of its stylish new Cadet® 3 toilet with EverClean™, an anti-microbial glaze that repels dirt and resists bacterial growth on all exposed surfaces of the toilet.
EverClean will provide reliable antibacterial protection for the lifetime of the toilet, continuously inhibiting the growth of stain-and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew. “Today’s homes have more bathrooms, which means more work to stay ahead of dirt and stains,” said James Walsh, American Standard marketing director for residential chinaware. “No one can resist the idea of spending less time cleaning toilets. With the EverClean glaze, the Cadet 3 will still look new, even after years of use.”
Cadet 3 is the newest generation of American Standard’s enduring Cadet series, a consistently dependable performer throughout decades of American home building and remodeling.
The new Cadet 3 is gravity-fed like earlier models but uses an oversized chemical-resistant flapper in American Standard’s newest flushing system called Flush Right™. The generous 3-inch flush valve, combined with a direct-fed jet, delivers a powerful water flow for exceptional flush performance. The 2-1/8-inch fully glazed trapway has a smooth outlet design that eliminates choke points, reducing water turbulence. The result is a quiet but powerful flush every time. American Standard provides a five-year warranty on Cadet 3’s tank and trim, including the flapper.
Consumers will also appreciate spending less time on installation–30 percent less time on average–using Cadet 3’s new Speed Connect™ Kit with factory-installed bolts and grommets and one-piece nut/washer assembly. American Standard even includes a convenient tool as part of the package. Cadet 3’s unique sanitary dam design provides four contact points for tank-to-bowl stability that eliminates rocking.
A flat tank cover, requested by homeowners, holds tissues and other toiletries. Cadet 3’s distinctive trip lever design was a delight to consumers who previewed the designs as part of American Standard’s research.
Cadet 3 models start at $200 and are available in round-front, elongated and Right Height bowl configurations, in White, Bone, Silver, Linen and Black. American Standard’s Right Height design meets all ADA requirements.
