I bought an American Standard sink. I considered cheaper options for the basket strainer but finally decided to go with the product that's made for the sink and don't regret it - installation, reliability, looks, functions - I can't be more satisfied.

A quality product but the stainless hue is just a bit different than the matching disposal flange. Not a big problem for most.

The new strainer is 4331.013. It looks as though there is a large nut underneath that holds it in place.

              • Q:

I have the American Standard 7501.000 23 5/8" Undermount Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink from the Culinaire Collection. My plumber put in a standard strainer but it makes a lot of noise as it drains and then lots of dripping sounds come right from the strainer itself (water forms a film in the middle hole of the strainer and then drips for 3-5 minutes - very long). There is no water in the sink itself.

Do you think replacing the standard strainer with this one will help? And will this one work on that sink? Thanks!

This should help you as the strainer that you currently have is holding water somehow causing it to drip several mins.

              • Q:

I recently bought a historic home built in 1918 and have a "farm house" style sink that is the original. I realized the drain and tail piece/pipe was broke so a plumber came and cut it off thinking we could replace the drain and pipe, but he can't find a replacement because of the size. The drain is 5in and the pipe is 2 1/2in.. Please help!! I do not want to replace this sink and praying I can find what I need. Thanks Becca.

I formed and poured a concrete sink and at the hole where the sink strainer drain is the bottom of the sink is to thick to use a sandard strainer drain. Do you make a strainer drain / waste basket with more threads than the standard one so I can tighten down the nut? Also I have the same problem with not having enought threads to attach my Hampton three hole sink faucet. Do you make a three hole faucet with a longer threaded section to attach to a 2 1/8" thick countertop?
