    Over all a stylish faucet, but it definetly has a design issue. Unit starts to leak after about 2-3 years worth of daily use. Only good thing is that american standards stands behind thier products and is willing to replace faulty internal parts.

    I appreciate the backing, Lifetime Warranty, but I am disappointed that its leaking after less then 2 Years in service, meaning that now I have to do work on it to stop the leak, even though parts are provided free of charge.

        It appears that I have American Standard 4114.001 cartridge faucet. The faucet leaks from the base of the unit(base of spout sleeve) when water is running. Is this an O ring problem? should I replaced the O rings and the cartridge unit? How do you get the sleeve off?

        I purchased what appears to be an American Standard Connoisseur Kitchen Faucet which soon began leaking at the spout seals at they were never lubricated. I cannot determine how to remove the spout to replace the seals. I have removed all the valve mechanism.

        I wanted to install 060366-0070A SPOUT SEAL KIT for the Connoisseur 4400 faucet. Although the kit contains two different shaped plastic rings along with the two o-rings, I can't find an explanation anywhere (not on the Parts_407.pdf nor the Install_407.pdf) about which way each ring should mount and which one goes where. It's not obvious from the diagrams, and unfortunately, I didn't notice how they were positioned when I was removing them.

        I just replaced the cartridge, and the leak between the handle and the top of the spout has improved. However if I turn the spout from side to side with the water running (moving from one sink to the other), then water comes out from just below the handle. I did not get a spout oring kit. Would that be what I need? Also is there a pdf which shows step by step how to do that (the cartridge was easy; well done design wise).

        I replaced the cartridge and all the other replaceable parts because the faucet was difficult to move side to side and it would not turn off without a drip...drip...drip. Well the rebuilt faucet works great but its water flow is about 50% of its former volume level. Any ideas?

          I would replace the cartridge again, the one you installed sounds like it could be clogged with debris. I would also inspect or replace the diverter, it may have come slightly out of the housing and is reducing the flow. Call into the warranty / technical line at 1-800-442-1902 options 1-4-1, for further in-depth diagnosis.

        My handle broke off the kitchen faucet and I’m trying to figure out how to repair it. A plastic part which connects to the cartridge is broken and it looks like the cartridge will have to be replaced. However, I don’t know the model that I have. I’ve had it 4 or 5 years. It looks just like the Connoisseur but when I look at the parts diagram there are some differences.

        The cartridge in the picture (023529-0070A) shows a protruding arm on one end. It also shows that the handle connects with a screw of some sort. However, my cartridge does not have a protruding arm. It has a number on it which is: 923703. Also it is connected to the handle. My handle has a protruding arm which fits into a hole in the cartridge. This is held together by a rotating plastic part which is the part that is broken. The handle pictured in the Connoisseur parts page does not show a downward protruding arm. Can you help me figure out what I need? Thank you.

          It is very important to figure out which faucet you have. I would call into the warranty / technical line at 1-800-442-1902 for in depth diagnosis. You may have to submit photos of your faucet and / or parts for us to identify.

          My recommendation is to call 800-442-1902 and talk to the rep about your model. If you don't know the model number, look on american standard website for your product and then talk to them. THey are very helpful about what the problems are and the correction. If it wasn't abuse on your part, it should be covered under the Lifetime Warrarnty.
