Comments about American Standard Culinaire Bridge Kitchen Faucet:

I bought this faucet because I was remodeling an 18th century kitchen. I wanted this look and it was the only one I could find at the time. It had the look I wanted but after only 2 years it began to drip. American Standard sent repair parts right away and were great to deal with but now I am spending time finding the diagrams of the faucet so I can replace them. They should have been included. Also the hot/cold caps cracked within the first few months of use. Good thing I like old things...

Comments about American Standard Culinaire Bridge Kitchen Faucet:

We love this faucet overall but our hot/cold index buttons cracked as well. We will likely replace with the brushed nickel button for more durability. Recommend the faucet but not the model with the hot/cold buttons.

Comments about American Standard Culinaire Bridge Kitchen Faucet:

The small hot/cold buttons on the handles crack, break and the lettering wears off. American Standard has replaced them twice, but if I wanted to buy spares, they are [$] each???? They are a piece of plastic smaller than a dime and seem to be worth about 5 cents. This is a piece that traditionally would have been made of ceramic. I've seen antique sinks that still have the little buttons on after 80 years and look like new. I'm just afraid American Standard will stop using the part.

    • Q:

Our new american standard kitchen faucet has 3/8" compresseion fittings on the supply hoses. They are smaller than the fittings on the american standard faucet it is replacing. Are there adapters so I don't have to change out the valves?

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

Yes, you can use an adapter to fix this. You can purchase one at your local Home Depot or Lowes or local plumbing store.

How do I change 923012-0070a clip in this faucet? Do I have to unscrew the brass insert to remove the old clip?
      Asked on 1/14/2012 by Anonymous

      1 answer

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

You just need to remove the spout and it will turn to the left. If it is too hard to turn you can use a wrench but cover with a cloth so it doesn't scratch. You can then replace the clip.

Low flow rate of water- I cleaned the areator, removed connection to the shut off valves under the sink and checked and they have plenty of force. removed the valves and cleaned them. removed the spout pushed the diverter up and down still low flow. so this is isolated to the faucet itself. what is the solution?

        A:

We will need to do some trouble shooting to find out what part needs to be replaced. It could be the valve cartridges or the diverter. Sometimes flushing them out is not enough to resolve the issue, but we may be able to send replacement parts. Please call customer service at 1-800-442-1902.

    • Q:

I tried to switch the cross handles to lever handles. The only way to install the handles resulted in the handles facing me when they were turned off (as opposed to pointing away from the faucet). There seems to be something internal that prevents proper installation. Am I missing something? Can someone give me instructions on how to install the level handles?

      Thank you,

I recently purchased a home with this faucet already installed. It has the cross handles and I was wondering if it was possible to switch those out for the lever handles. Your help is greatly appreciated.
