Comments about American Standard Lakeland Kitchen Faucet:

We just finished a major renovation of over 175 kitchens and have used this faucet in all of them. Of all the units, we had about a 5% failure with this product. When contacting American Standard, they were right there and helped us through this small problem. We would highly recommend this faucet. Give it a try

Comments about American Standard Lakeland Kitchen Faucet:

Had this faucet for about 18 months now, with nothing but problems. Initially, the diverter did not work, meaning that the spray head did not shut the faucet off. I disassembled the faucet to find that the diverter had been installed incorrectly from the factory, and in such a way that the faucet would not come off the shank without destroying the cartidge (#1). Ultimately I was able to fix this.

Then, just yesterday, the HANDLE CAME OFF IN MY HAND! Water sprayed everywhere, obviously. The cartridge (this is #2) just cracked in half.

It's a good thing this comes with a lifetime warranty, because you will use it!

The main body needs to swivel and can not do so if you use the plumbers putty.

The faucet works perfectly these past three years. However, the movement of the handle left to right is now harder/stiffer to move. The up and down motion of the handle is still smooth. What could this be?

I am trying to look up the following model numbers:

        and 4400641.002

I am trying to replace the spout seals because they are leaking. I have removed top handle and cartridge screws. How do I removed the spout? I tried to pull it out, but it does not move.
Does the faucet need to be removed from the sink?
Asked on 7/4/2011 by MC from Ann Arbor, MI

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

Once the handle and cartridge has been removed the spout should slip right off. You may have some water corrison and in that case you will need to use some WD-40 to loosen the spout.

      • Q:

I bought the 2.5 mm hex wrench but it doesn't seem to connect with the screw to be able to turn and remove. I thought I had unscrewed at one point but then the handle is stil very tightly attached and I can't pull it off. The cap is partly visibly and moves around and up down but the handle does not come off. This was installed in april 2010 and it is now only May 2011. How do I get the handle off if the 2.5 mm hex wrench doesn't connect and remove the set screw?
Asked on 6/5/2011 by mtnmoma from Morris Cty, NJ

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

The set screw is in fact a 2.5mm. The set screw should be accessible with the handle in the full on position. This allows clearance for the hex wrench to pass through to the set screw.

There may be debris lodged in the cartridge. Try removing the handle to access the cartridge. Once the handle is removed, remove the cartridge and flush out with water. If this does not resolve your issue, please call Toll Free (Outside GTA & Mississauga): 1 (800) 387-0369

Once the handle screw is removed, the handle will pull straight off of the cartridge. You may need to work the handle back and forth as you are pulling.
