I never thought a faucet could make me smile! This faucet was installed in my remodeled kitchen yesterday along with the American Standard Culinaire sink. They go beautifully together and are of highest quality. My contractor was impressed with the quality of this faucet, and he sees alot of them. I plan to buy another one for my island sink.

We just installed the Pekoe Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet. It does not have a solid stream. Water is getting all over the counter. It is like te sprayer is not fully disengaging. Is there a way to correct this? The house has 45 PSI.

            • Q:

What is the metal base plate option (M961850-YYYOA) and would I need this if the faucet is installed on a stainless steel sink?

I am also considering Pekoe Faucet model #4332.310 which mentions this base plate as an option. These two faucets seem quite similar. What are the basic differences? Why would I want one over the other?

              • CUSTOMER CARE

                A:

The main difference between the two faucets are the look. They have slightly different hand spray. Also the 4332.310 is slightly taller then the 4332.300. The base plate is an option in case your sink is a 3 hole sink. You would use the plate as a decorative piece to cover the other two holes.

            • Q:

We have installed a brand new Pekoe Pull-Down kitchen faucet and the pressure coming out is very low. All other faucets in the house are fine. We are unable to remove the handle to get to the cartridge to check that. The manual just says 'remove the handle', but not how! It does not seem to unscrew (even with pliers). Help!

                A:

Typically the screw is a 3/32 allan screw. You will need a 3/32 allan wrench to remove the set screw.

We just installed the Pekoe Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet according to the instructions but there is no water pressure at all. We've checked our lines and they are still good with great water pressure but nothing is getting through the faucet. We are going to try to follow the service directions but it's brand new so we don't know what else it could be. Please help!

During installation, debris may have become lodged in the flow restrictor(s). Removing and flushing out the restrictors may resolve your issue.

This faucet features a pull down spray head and hose, which when extended, gives full range of motion in and around the sink. There is no need to rotate the spout completely. 170 degrees of rotation, along with hose reach, will allow you to accomplish any kitchen task.

            • Q:

This faucet cannot be installed as depicted in the installation guide if you have a stone countertop greater than 3/4". The shank is only 4-1/4" while the cover and all of the washers and nuts add up to about 2-7/8" so it doesn't seem possible to accommodate a 2" countertop as shown in the spec sheet.

              1 answer

              • CUSTOMER CARE

                A:

The mounting shank should be long enough to mount onto a 2" counter top using all of the mounting hardware. If there is any discrepancy, or need for additional space on the mounting shank, assuming you are mounting on a solid surface counter top (not stainless steel), the thick plastic washer can be removed from the mounting hardware to provide additional mounting room. This purpose of the washer is to provide additional stability for mounting on stainless steel sinks, and serves more of a convenience purpose for use on solid surface countertops, in that it reduces the distance to spin the installation hardware up the shank to secure the faucet to the deck.

Although the handle in the full-hot position does rotate slightly past vertical, it will not extend beyond the faucet to come in contact with the wall or back splash.
