        I bought this faucet about 14 years ago because I wanted a goose-neck kitchen faucet with separate hot/cold handles. I love the style and I have not had a single problem in all 14 years until it started leaking at the O ring. Once I receive the part from AS, I am sure this faucet will continue to give me many more years of service. The finish has never tarnished or scratched and we have very hard water in St. Louis. Wonderful product!

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        The faucet came with our condo so when it started leaking we had no idea what model it was or how to order parts. I called the American Standard 800 number and they told me to send them pics and they'll help me out. The next day I had a model number and a repair kit on the way. I don't know enough about faucets to say if the leaking was unique or something that happens to all faucets over time but I can say that AS was great about helping me fix it.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        We have loved this faucet for about 5 years. The last year and a half we have had nothing but problems. [...] the base still leaks and we are giving up and getting a new faucet. [...] good looking and functional product, but no longevity.

            You could use the faucet this way, but would need to find a plug to fit the manifold where the side spray is currently hooked up.

          I try to buy only Made in America products. Given that I can't find a Made in America, I get as close to America as I can. Looking for American Made Kitchen faucet. The only one in a large national Home improvement store that I could find that was not Made in China was American Standard Made in Mexico. I won't buy one made in China.           I called American Standard and they sent me an o-ring, 073542-0070A but it is not the right one. I have model 4771.2222 The o-ring send me is tool large and neck will not slide back on. I have another model 4771 faucet and it fit it.
