American Standard Introduces New Furniture-style Bathroom Cabinetry
Piscataway, N.J. (January 15, 2003) — Furniture-style bathroom vanities promise increased popularity as homeowners strive to balance form with function. Because bathrooms should be both useful and aesthetically pleasing, American Standard introduces three new lines of bathroom cabinetry.
“Homeowners want to decorate their bathrooms the same way they decorate the rest of their home, using elegant furniture and cabinetry throughout,” says Joe Anile, American Standard’s product director, furniture. “The Bordeaux™, Brook™ and Providence™ Collections by American Standard offer a great furniture look with the benefit of smart storage solutions, even for small bathrooms.”
The Bordeaux Collection, with rich hand-distressed aged chestnut finish, rivals the character of fine antiques. The Bordeaux vanity is reminiscent of a French country bow-front chest and features antiqued brass hardware and curved, adjustable interior shelves. The vanity includes a matching wood top, or it can be customized with an optional marble top pre-cut for American Standard’s Corbian™ undercounter sink.
The vanity is 32 inches deep and features American Standard’s exclusive Right Height™ design at 35 5/8 inches high for greater comfort during use. A coordinating mirror is also available.
American Standard’s new Brook console table sets a new standard for style and storage solutions in bathroom furniture. Three different finish and hardware options suit casual, traditional and urban design themes. Practical side doors fold down on both sides of the closed console table to provide easy access to shelf space for small toiletries. There is also an open shelf under the cabinet.
The Brook console table is 28 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 34 inches high and built from select poplar solids and maple veneers for strength and durability. The versatile console offers two sink-installation options. A matching wood top is available and is pre-cut for American Standard’s elegant Morning™ Above-Counter sink. Alternatively, the console is available with a Midnight Black granite or Alabaster White marble top pre-cut for Corbian undercounter sink and pre-drilled with 8-inch faucet holes.
The Providence Collection features four pieces finished in a hand-distressed Weathered White wood finish accented by antique-style brass hardware. The collection includes two vanities, a tall slim apothecary cabinet, a smaller demi-apothecary cabinet and a matching mirror.
The Providence vanities, available in either a 32-inch wide or 24-inch narrower style with a standard matching wood top, can be paired with a variety of American Standard countertop sinks. Both vanity sizes offer the option of an Alabaster White marble top pre-cut for the American Standard Corbian undercounter sink and pre-drilled with 8-inch faucet holes. The vanities also feature useable bottom drawers. The vanities are 21½ inches deep and feature American Standard’s exclusive Right Height design at 35 5/8 inches high.
The apothecary cabinets are designed to provide ample storage within their 20-inch wide and 16-inch deep design. The taller, 76-inch high cabinet features a beveled glass front door on top with two adjustable shelves inside. A pull-out drawer in the middle and a wood door on the bottom hide clutter and personal items.
The demi-apothecary cabinet is 35 inches tall and a space-saving 20 inches wide by 16 inches deep. It is a perfect storage solution for bathrooms with a pedestal sink, with two adjustable shelves behind the wood door.
