It’s Easy to Find Kitchen and Bath Fixtures That Fit Your Life
American Standard’s new Web site allows users to choose everything from the kitchen sink to a whirlpool tub for two — all from the comfort of home
Piscataway, N.J. (May 7, 2002) —It’s never been easier to choose kitchen and bathroom products that fit your lifestyle, especially with the new, updated Web site from American Standard, the world’s leading plumbing products manufacturer and distributor.
The company’s web site, www.americanstandard-us.com, has been completely redesigned to allow homeowners and remodelers to select from more than 20 collections of kitchen and bathroom sinks, toilets, faucets, whirlpools, tubs and showers. Styles range from traditional to country, contemporary to avant-garde. Porcher, American Standard’s upscale line, also has an updated Web section for its European-inspired products.
“These days, homeowners want to research products, choose items that fit their lifestyle, and narrow down their choices before they buy; our site is designed to help them do that in the comfort of their own home,” says Jeannette Long, director, marketing communications. “All American Standard products are easy to find, with lots of search options at the top of every page.”
Interactive elements enable users to experiment with different styles and colors and to choose kitchen and bath fixtures based on performance and design. Some of the interactive features include:
Visitors to the Stylize a Bathroom section can visit five bathrooms and see how each looks in a variety of wall, flooring and fixture styles or colors.
For those who are looking to go a step further, the Plan Your Room section features a 2-D design tool that can be used to create a customizable-resizable-printable bathroom template.
In the Design a Faucet section, users can create their own faucet design by mixing and matching a variety of spout and handle styles and finishes.
Other interactive elements enable users to better understand the inner workings of various products, such as how toilets work.
Finding product information has gotten easier too – a simple click on any product photo will instantly pull up details about each product’s features, colors, design options and price. Specification sheets and step-by-step installation features are also offered.
Site registration enables users to flag their favorite product choices, save them for future reference, and email them to their friends, family or interior designer. A dealer locator feature includes maps and driving directions to the nearest store carrying American Standard products. Free product literature may also be ordered online.
