Comments about American Standard Town Square Right Height Elongated Toilet:

I installed this product a year ago, and found it to be problematic. I leaves us guessing if #2 will be flushed or if I have to grab the plunger. Checked everything, including Wax rings, it is obvious that this toilet has a poor design. Needs lots of water to do the job, and the tank is not enough. I have to Switch to Champion flushing system

very poor flushing, manny areas of the side walls do not get any water when flushing which means the brush must be used almost evry time.

very nice looking toilet . .but when someone goes #2 you need to flush it like 2 -3 times to remove marks . .water level is also kind of low inside the bowl . .if you only need a toilet for #1 then this is a good toilet for you.

          • Q:

We installed the Town square toilet in our House years ago and the toilet seat is broken. I went to purchase a new one on the web site and see there is 2 options (one being a rounded front) how do I know which seat I am to purchase. The current seat is 16" from front to back and 14" on the side. The seats front does not come to point but I do not know what the difference is between the options. Can you please help me determine which seat to order.

            • CUSTOMER CARE

              A:

You need to measure from the centerline of where the seat attaches to the bowl to the front of the toilet rim. Round front bowls typically measure 16-1/2" and Elogated bowls typically measure 18-1/2"

We have had this toilet for about five years and just recently it has stopped working properly. It only completely flushes about 50% of the time. We have completely changed the inside flush parts and there are no blockages. We are at a loss and feel that the next step would be to just replace the whole toilet.
