      Comments about American Standard Cadet Anti-Scald Pressure Balance Tub, Shower Set:

      This installs easily and works well- giving one-hand control of water volume and temperature. Shower head included is nothing fancy but works fine. Have not used the tub spout.

      However, the control cartridge froze and cracked over the winter (it's plastic, most of the parts are brass). It is in a vacation house and I should have been more careful draining the shower water supply lines. Replacement was easy (10 minutes) and cartridges cost $20, so not a big deal.

        I installed this today and when I put the handle on the weight of it causes the water flow to turn off. The weight of the handle forces the cartridge lever down, do I have a defective cartridge, or is there something else wrong

          The 051091-0070a pressure balancing unit was for the older discontinued bath and shower models, and the m952100-0070a is what we use for the newer series.

        I bought a house that has a single shower handle that has Moen 1675 type-p asse 1016 /a112.81.1 Diverter stem. I have a pic. A plumbing shop says it looks like an american standard 023529-0070H stem. I need a replacement handle. What should I buy?

        Just installed this faucet. Water pressure on the cold side is fine. Water pressure on the hot side slows to a trickle (temperature is fine). How do I fix this? Hot water pressure on all other house faucets is fine.

        Just installed a new cadet 1675 in a apt building turn the cold water just got a tricle than turn the hot water on work fine but no cold water so shut of the water feed hot and cold than turn back on now there is no water flow. this is a new single handle faucet should work but no water flow through it. from the looks of it there are alot of issue with these faucets?

          In order for us this unit to work you must have both the hot and the cold water on. If there is not equal pressure running thru the valve the faucet will not work. Both hot and cold water must be turned on.

        I had four of these installed in an apartment building remodel and all four cut the water pressure output in half when switching from cold to hot. Is that what its supposed to do? I now have tenants complaining that the water is a trickle when taking a hot shower & I've confirmed this. Tried adjusting the little red dial, which makes the water hotter, but no increase in pressure. What should I do now?

        I have a cadet 1674/1675 faucet single handle in my shower and today the handle will not turn to the fully open hot position. It is like the handle is locked...I can open the faucet fully in the cold position. I was wondering what needs to be replaced in order to fix this problem? M952100-0070A(pressure balancing unit) or 023529-0070A (cartridge). Also is there a life time warranty on this faucet?

          Although the cartridge and pressure balancing unit can be turned 180 degrees, you may experience water flowing out of the showerhead when using the tub filler. It would be suggested to remove the valve and install correctly.

          If there was a clog, there is a good possibility that there is debris in the cartridge and pressure balancing unit.
