Comments about American Standard Pekoe Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet:

I found that the right hand single lever does not meet our requirement as we seem to always use our right hand for the sprayer. A left handed lever should be an option, or for those that find this a necessity, buy only a top mounted lever.

  • Q:

Is the pull-out hose stainless steel braided or nylon?

    Asked on 2/7/2011 by Anonymous

    • A:

Stainless. It has ample length but does need to be routed carefully so as not to catch on other plumbing.

  • Q:

I need to clean or replace cartridge due to low flow. I can't get the cartridge cover(dome-shaped) off. I tried liquid wrench but it didn't help. Can't get a wrench to grip on without totally mashing it. Any suggestions?

Asked on 12/28/2010 by Cathy from Newark, CA

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

The cartridge cover is threaded and should remove by turning it counter clockwise. It may be necessary to wrap a rag around it to protect it while removing with an adjustable wrench.

  • Q:

About 11 months ago we had our kitchen renovated and this faucet was installed by the contractor. We have a whole house water filter installed in the basement, but the flow thru the nozzle (in the "normal", not "spray" mode) is getting weak. I unscrewed the nozzle from the hose, and the water volume seems normal. Is there a way to clean debris from the nozzle? Or should I order a replacement? It's part number: M962692-YYY0A

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

Located in the spray head is a flow restrictor that may require cleaning. Once the spray head is removed it can be removed with a tool such as an O ring pick. note the direction of the flow restrictor prior to cleainng as the restrictor must be returned in its original position. In the event this does not resolve your issue, please cal 1-800-442-1902 options 1-4-1 for further assistance.

  • Q:

Love this item but its too high. We need something like this but with a more standard lower height. What would you suggest?

Asked on 11/11/2010 by Jonathan from New York City area

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

Unfortunately, we do not have a conventional height pull out using that spray head. However, our Arch Pull-Out faucet is comparable regarding style, and is more of a conventional height pull-out kitchen faucet (http://www.americanstandard-us.com/products/productDetail.aspx?id=2328). Our other popular options include the Lakeland Pull-Out, Reliant + Pull-Out, and our Colony Soft Pull-Out.
