              Because the tank/bowl use so little water, the flush doesn't have much bang. But if you hold the lever until the bowl is empty, it takes everything down well. Too bad the design doesn't allow for the flapper to stay open for a couple seconds on its own after you push the lever...

                I have a American Standard Evolutiion 2 / Mainstream toilet -- in order to get a complete flush, I must hold the handle down until complete, then release -- if I release any sooner the bowl does not empty completely..there is an elastic band on the flapper that actually pushes the flapper down prematurely if you release the handle before a complete flush -- all my other toilets will completely flush as soon as I release the handle--it has been suggest to me by a plumber friend to cut the elastic band off --I would appreciate your comments...thanks

                  You will need to shorten the slack on the chain that attached to the flapper so the flapper is not closing so quickly.
