Comments about American Standard Concealed Trapway Cadet 3 RH RF Flowise Toilet:

Purchased a condo (downsize) and had the bathrooms redone. After much research, we purchased these "right height" toilets for both bathrooms. Of all the things we purchased for the renovation, these toilets are, by far, the best investment. They were easy to install, and they work as advertised. 5 star product!

How do I remove the toilet seat - any visuals?

If you did not use expansion sleeve that came with seat for this model that required just tighting the bolt using a screw driver. You have a challenge.
Seat nuts are accesable thru small round openings on lower back side of unit. Hope you have a small hand. Otherwise remove whole unit to replace seat.

Lift the seat and rest it against the tank. In the center of the bottom of the seat (where it connects to the base), you'll see a "button". Press the button and left the seat off the two pins that are holding it in place. The two pins have white covers on them. Lift the covers off and you will see hex screws which can be losened for adjustment. Once you have adjusted the pins, simply slide the seat over the pins and push down until it clicks in place.

            • Q:

We took the toilet out of its box and looking from the bottom-front of the toilet there are three holes (two small ones at the top and one large on towards the bottom of the toilet) in the interior of the toilet. It appears that on one side there is a crack connecting one of the smaller holes and the larger hole. Is our toilet defective? If not what are these holes part of the casting process and why is there a crack on one side and not the other?

                A:

If there is a crack then it is defective you will need to return the toilet back to the store to exchange it within the first 90 days of purchase.

                A:

The seat has a plastic plug that is inserted through the holes in the top of the toilet bowl. It will take some time to make a tight connection, using either a screwdriver or a hex wrench, depending upon which mounting screw you have.

            • Q:

Is a wall supply, per se, required for this toilet? It says as much per installation instructions, but I am wondering if the "required" aspect is for the required spacing if there IS a wall supply. And, why is a wall supply necessary? Wouldn't a floor supply be easier to shut off, and the supply line to the tank be as easy to install?

                A:

It is you preference as to whether or not a wall supply or a floor supply is used. However, it is suggested that a wall supply be used for this particular toilet.
