I have a Hampton Bay Mini Spread, I think, I am trying to replace a washer the handles have an end on them that doesn't have a screw. Does this end just pull out. It seems quite tight and I don't want to scratch the finish. Help Thanks

Jim, it's not neccessary to remove the end of the handle to repair the faucet. The top of the faucet handle has a finish cap that can be removed and provide access to the handle screw. Look on-line you can get an exploded view of the parts. Check with your local plumbing supplier or Home Depot for parts. Often it is cheaper to pay a liscened plumber to perform the repair, avoid frustration and enjoy your free time. Best of luck

        • Q:

I have what appears to be Hampton hardware that is deck mounted. I am trying to remove the spout but there is no set screw / plug button as shown in the manual. The chrome ring at the base of the spout spins but does not pop up. Any suggestions for how this spout can be removed without damaging anything? Thanks

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

There is likely a nut on the underside of the faucet that secures the spout to the valve body. This also acts as a retainer.

I have a 3 hole wide mount sink and a 3- hole 4" center bidet (not vertical spray). The choices for 4" over the rim bidet faucets are nil on the website. do they exist with coordinating wide mount sink faucets? Hampton design is accepable

            A:

The hampton is not available in a over the rim bidet. We have one from the ceramix collection, the serin collection and the moments collection. The moments widespread lavatory faucet is model 2506.821, and the serin widespread faucet is 2064.801. We do not have a ceramix widespread faucet available. I have gray colored water spots (not lime or calcium deposits) that don't wipe off my chrome finish faucet and spout. Is there something good for cleaning this, without damaging the finish?

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

You should try a window cleaner, such as windex. Or you could try vinegar. Either one tends to be successful with removing hard water spots.

The ring can be pulled up enough to expose the underlying setscrew for handle removal.

Yes, the handles come off, you remove the index cap, then use a flat-tip screwdriver to remove the set screw, the handles are then easily removed.
