  • Q:

I am checking that this handle controls the volume of water flow and temperature, just as the single faucet on a sink. I understand the "cadet" model works that way, but I am looking for a brushed finish. Please confirm the way this faucet works. Thank you

      A:

A central thermostatic valve does not control the volume or on/off of the water flow. It only controls the temperature. You would need an additional on/off/volume control with a central thermostatic valve (T005.700 + R701/R711). If you are specifically looking for a thermostatic valve, then you should choose the 2-handle thermostatic valve (T005.740 + R520/R540). The 2nd handle controls the volume and on/off. If you are specifically looking for a single handle that controls both and are only planning a simple shower or bath/shower application, then we would recommend the pressure balance valve and trim (T005.500 Series + R120 Series). This combination does control both on/off/volume and temperature with one handle.
