Comments about American Standard Hampton 3-Handle Bath/Shower Faucet:

When first installed, the shower dripped. I checked the cartridges & they were pretty "dried out" from age....guessed the set had been on the shelf at the store too long. AS sent me new cartridges & all is well. The best part about this product is that AS stands behind it and will work to take care of the customer!!! This company has always been a great company to buy from because they actually make sure that their product is the best!

Comments about American Standard Hampton 3-Handle Bath/Shower Faucet:

The installation was easy, but from there it's all downhill. The handles stripped within 6 months. I tried to order parts online, but they don't offer them. When I went to a distributor, they told me to call American Standard. American Standard tech wanted me to send them the parts, all I wanted was a replacement. Now, the cross-handle version of the Heritage line is not available. I'm still trying to get something that will work with the AS faucet body.

Comments about American Standard Hampton 3-Handle Bath/Shower Faucet:

We have the porcelain handles on our Hampton bath sink and shower faucets. They're very nice looking and solid, although we've had two issues. First, one of the faucet handles in the shower kept coming loose. After repeated tightenings I finally put a weak form of Loc-tite on the threads and it's stayed tight ever since.

Second, one of the shower handle adapters has broken meaning that we can't switch from bath spout to shower head. It's been 4-5 years since we installed the faucet so that's not bad, but the design appears to be weak (small area, soft material) where it goes into the faucet handle so I expect more failures.

Overall, pretty happy with the faucet, though given the price I'd hope to be.

              • Q:

A plumber installed a Hampton 7225-733 tub/shower faucet for me.
when this house was built the tub spout is very close to the tub/shower diverter valve and the handle strikes the tub spout. Is it possible to change it to a metal cross handle 013307-yyyda to provide more clearance. If I order a cross handle (013307-yyyda) and cross handle base (908501-yyyda) will that be all I would need to take care of this problem?

Need 3 handle shower faucet with a very high flow rate. Water pressure may be low at our house, so a faucet that delivers low restriction and maximum flow is mandatory. What do you recommend?

The faucets work off of the homes water pressure. all of our facuets need at least 25psi to 80psi to function properly.

you can try to shift the handle over one notch on the stem, the first couple times we used ours it did the same thing. I went one notch over and just push a little harder on the handle, i think because of the new seals.

                  A:

You will have to purchase a tub drain in brass. Unfortunately we no longer manufacture a tub drain in the brass finish. You should check with Lowes or Home Depot to see if they have a drain available in brass, that will work with your bath tub. The drain does not have to be specific to the faucet.

There have been minimal changes in the hampton 3 handle faucet. If the diagram is not similar, you may not have the Hampton series. Please call 1-800-442-1902 options 1-4-1 so that we may assist you in identifying your faucet.
