    I have a Hampton pressure-balanced shower-only valve & would like to add an in-line volume control valve. Can the diverter valves act as volume controls? Or is there another product to match the Hampton series?

      A:

      The diverter will not be able to work as a volume control. It will only divert from one product to another. As far as another product to match, that would be a preference issue. You should go to our website www.americanstandardpro.com and type in R701 in keyword or product number. You should get a list of the availiable trim for the volume control valve.

    I need a Diverter Sleeve that will fit R-110 Rough valve Body from a
    Hampton trim kit model T991.732. Fixtures are still under warranty,I

      The T991.732 is a deck mounted tub filler and does not use a R110 shower valve. Call into the warranty / technical line at 1-800-442-1902 option 1-4-1 for in-depth diagnosis.

    I have an American standard valve, that is in perfect working order, 15-20 years old. Trim plate fell apart. Have no idea of the valve number or trim number. How do I go about replceing that trim?

      A:

      The rough in valves have changed and the new trim will not fit the old style rough in valves. You will need to replace the rough in valves in order for the new trims to work, or you may contact a company called Tapco Faucets to purchase old parts. You may reach them at 412-782-4300.

      A:

      No, this item is designed for mounting specifically into the tub deck. If you are looking for a wall mount hand shower set you will need to order the individual components: wall elbow, wall mount hand shower bracket, shower hose and Hand shower. You will also need to make sure you either have a rough valve in the wall with a builtin diverter and its respective trim such as the R116SS or the R126SS or install an additional diverter 2 or 3-way (R420 or R430).

      A:

      Are you looking to replace the whole valve or use the existing one in the wall? If you are looking use the existing one in the wall, you must have an exsiting American Standard 3 handle rough valve and depending on the age of the valve, there is no guarantee that our trim will work. We do have existing 3-handle bath/showers (that come with the rough valves) still avaialble. See Hampton (7225.713 & 7225.733) and Colony Soft (3375.502 &3375.302). (However, please note that in most areas of the country, because they are not pressure balance valves (which prevent scalding), they do not meet code. What we would rather suggest is to install a pressure balance bath/shower system which does meet code and prevent scalding. We have many options and styles to choose from. Look under Shower Faucets to see your options
