          All you need is a rough in valve and trim, you can use an R110 or R120.

          The part number for our 6 foot metal hose is 8888.035. This is a hose that we would suggest for our hand held showers, however; if the hand held shower that you are trying to locate a hose for is part of your faucet, you may want to contact us with the model number of the faucet, as that may be a different kind of hose. If this is the case please contact customer service at 1-800-442-1902.

          Yes, this is possible. you would either need to puchase a R420 inwall diverter valve or a 1660.410 shower arm diverter.

          You will need a valve and trim to turn this product on, this kit includes everything except a valve to turn the water on or off.

        (1) Do American Standard handshowers--& specifically this model-- have built-in vacuum breakers? I don't want yet another gadget protruding.
        (2) Is this handshower metallic-coated plastic or chrome-plated brass?
        (3) Which Amer. Std. handshowers are chromed brass throughout?
        (4) Why do cleaning instructions specify a water rinse & cloth-dry only, when the cleaning needs in a bathroom (as in a kitchen) are not cosmetic but hygenic, absolutely requiring anti-bacterial cleaning products such as bleach?

          A:

          Some of our shower kits do have a in-line vacuum breaker included (see 1662.601). This specific Serin model does not. However, all of our slide bar kits do include double check valves which serve the purpose to prevent backflow of the water if the hand shower is submersed in water. Also, an in-line vacuum breaker can be easily added and will not be an additional protrusion from the wall but an extension of the wall elbow (see our model number 1660.400).
