      I have a 1495.512 Reliant shower valve with a R125 valve body. It functions normally in all cold or all hot positions but starts to chatter (vibrate/pulse) when the handle is moved to mix the two. Is this a result of a defective pressure balancing unit or a worn cartridge?

    • Q:

      We have a shower/tub faucet where the cold water has stopped coming through the spout and the shower head. The water temperature remains the same regardless of which direction the handle is turned. We have tried to remove the spout in order to get to the back. We are having difficulty accessing the screw at the underside of the spout. Please let us know what we can do to remove the spout and fix the water temperature problem Thank you!

      I have a shower where the hot water now trickles, but there is plenty of hotwater coming in. I believe we need to replace the pressure balancing unit. Is that part replaceable without breaking into the walls?

        The pressure balancing unt can be accessed by removing the handle and cartridge cover. This exposes the cartridge. Once the cartridge has been removed, the pressure balancing unit can accessed by removing the fixation ring.

      My shower diverter tub spout has lost its ability to switch to shower mode. Three parts fell loose from the spout. The2-3 inch rod, rod top knob and a plastic piece with a washer on it. Are ther any other pieces that I may have lost down the drain? How can I repair this?
