    My plumber installed a similar American Standard Shower faucets backwards in my shower. To get hot water, you have to point the faucet to the "C" for cold and vise-versa. Can the mixing valve be flipped, or will I need to cut a hole in the wall remove the faucet and flip it 180 degrees?

      A:

      If it is an R110 valve you can flip it. If it is an R120 valve you will need to purchase a back to back cartridge.

    I am trying to identify a ten year old shower valve that looks just like this one minus the tub-spout. Was this product available that long ago. If not any help identifying the valve would be great

  • Q:

    We now only get very hot or very cold water. When you turn the handle to adjust water temperature, the water pulsates and then either gets scalding hot or icy cold.

    What should we do? I think we need to replace the pressure balance valve (it comes in a cartridge?) but someone mentioned a balancing spool kit, too (not sure what that is/does).

      Based on your description of the problem a replacement pressure balancing unit is required. The pressure balancing unit is available as a separate component. The part number is M952100-0070A

  • Q:

    Hello. I'm trying to increase the hot water flow to my shower head, and I'm stuck because I can't figure out how to remove the handle. I was told that it's kept in place with a hex screw, but I'm having no luck getting the handle off. Any advice? What size hex screw is it?
