          While acceptable (does not fit the bowlat the back area), I would have been better off buying the seat locally. I saw a slow close model for about the same price that would have fit better.

                It sounds likes you have a stardard round front bowl. Any seat would work, although the length dimensions are all 16.5".

                I cannot find that American Standard ever made a "New Dresslyn" toilet. Are you sure that this is the correct name? I suggest you call American Standard Customer Care at 1-800-442-1902 and speak with them. If you send them a photo of the toilet they could be in better position to help you.
