      • Q:

I have a gray plastic replacement toilet seat for 1988 Plebe model in perfect condition except for discoloration on top of cover. I believe it could be from cleaning products over the years. It appears that a film has been broken where yellowing has occurred. Any suggestions to restore color?

          A:

I don't know of a way to restore the color once it has yellowed. You could possibly try some oxyclean.

i have two AM toilets with the model 2092. I am trying to match the color for new seats via number rather than looking at color strips. The numbers besides the model number are 667 and 236. can somebody translate these numbers into current colors. This assumes that the numbers above are color codes. thanks

          A:

These numbers are not color codes for American Standard. You will need to look at www.churchseats.com for the correct colors of your toilets.

I need to replace my broken American Standard toilet seat. It has 4010/21 AGO 1999 stamped in the back of it. It is a 1.6gpf. What model do I need to buy?

          A:

Any standard elongated or round (whichever it is) will fit your toilet. If the bolt holes are a 10" spread please contact the following. We do not stock older model toilet seats, but we can recommend Bemis Manufacturing, the company that makes our seats, and may have a replacement for you. You may contact them at 1-800-558-7651 or visit their website at www.bemismfg.com. Also, you may try their partner company, Church Seats, at www.churchseats.com or 1-800-233-7328.

The only thing I see stamped on my toilet is 6.0 lpf/1.6 gpf. It was purchased in 1999. I need to replace a broken toilet seat. What model do I need to buy?

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

To find the model number of the toilet, look into the tank along the back wall. Impressed, engraved or stamped into the china will be a four-digit number starting with a “2” or “4”. If you have a one piece toilet your model number will begin with the number “2” and will be four digits long. ”. If you have a two piece toilet your model number will begin with the number “4” and will be four digits long. The manufacturing date is also inside the tank. We will also need to know if you have a 1.6gpf or a 1.28gpf.

      • Q:

Our American Standard elongated toilet is probably from the 70's and has 4049 inside the tank. The original toilet seat, which fit perfectly, broke and we replaced it with the Laurel. The Laurel is the correct shape, but is very slightly too small. Do you make a flat wood seat with the correct shape which is slightly larger than the Laurel?

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

We do not make a different seat. The elongated seat is a standard seat. Generally, 18 1/2" long and around 14" wide.

Our round seat length is 16.5" and our elongated seat length is 18.5". If your toilet tank model number is 2038 you may need the only special seat that I am familiar with which is part number 5357.016. It is unique to the 2038 toilet tank.
