Buy this toilet at a plumbing shop , instead of a big box store. You will pay more money. But there is a big difference in quality,trust me . just ask any plumber.

Q:
We have just installed our brand new Cadet 3 and it is leaking a small amount of water from the plastic threads where the supply line connects to the bottom of the tank. We have ruled out the supply line by disconnecting it. Tank still leaks out around the threads of the plastic nipple at the tank supply entry, even after tightening the plastic nut. Now what do we do?

Q:
The dimensions are 30 1/4" height. This is true but you actually need 31 inches to remove the lid. The lid has an inside lip that raises the actual height another 1/4 - 1/2'. So the toilet doesn’t fit under the counter.
Is there a lid without the inner lip for this??? or am I going to have to pull my toilet and replace it?
I am very disappointed in the dimensions.

  The lid must have the lip on the inside, otherwise the lid would move around and potentially fall off. All tank lids must have a way to keep the lid on the tank.

we just installed a cadet 3 toilet about 4days ago having a problem with adjusting the water in tank it quietly runs all the time we adjusted the water in tank but it keeps coming back up

  I would check the flapper first, make sure it is sealing well. Sometimes adding a little weight on top of flapper will make it seal better. Slip a brass nut or brass washer over the chain and slide it down so that it sets on top of flapper. Brass won't carode and leave rust stains. Hope this helps.....

  An Aquaguard liner, is a styrofoam liner inside the tank that helps reduce the amount of condensation that could occur from very cold incoming water and humid ambient temperatures.

Q:
I wondering why there is so little water in the bowl. Evertime I flush it only fills to the top of the hole. I have checked the fill tube and is fine. It flushes so fast I dont think it has enough water to fill the bowl. It tends to leave streaks from a bowl movement on the bowl. Any suggestions.

  A:
  It is normal for there to be only about 3-4 inches of water from the bottom of the waste hole. You can remove the water restrictor is it is installed and that will add a little more water for you. Remove the refill tube from the fill valve and inside the hole is a small plastic piece. You can simply remove and discard.

Q:
We have just installed 2 new Cadet 3 toilets and like them. However, is there a way to allow the flapper valve to remain open for about 3 seconds to assure a complete flush? It closes immediately upon release of the flush handle.

  A:
  The flapper is designed to discharge the proper amount of water to effectively flush the toilet and will not discharge all of the water in the tank. Ensuring the water level in the tank is correct and the flapper chain is properly adjusted will allow for maximum performance.

Q:
The problem with tightening the tank until it no longer moves is that the gasket that was provided is extremely large. We have installed a lot of toilets in the past and never had a problem like this. If you are stating that the tank should be touching the bowl then does that mean if we tighten 1/4 turn at a time and the tank cracks, that your company will replace it because we are following the manufacturers instructions.

  A:
  Tighten the tank to bowl bolts 1\/4 turn at a time while alternating sides. Once the tank makes contact with the bowl, do not tighten any further. The gasket will continue to compress as the bolts are tightened. Provided the bolts are not tightened beyond china to china contact, the tank will not crack.
