Completely as described. Recommended by consumer magazine. No problem flushing for low flow toilet. Delivery through [@] was quick and as promised. My only problem was the seat. I tried to upgrade with an American Standard seat, but they kept coming in with chips or marks on them. Ended up using a different manufacturer for the seat. But the toilet itself is one that I am very pleased with, given the years problems in the guest bathroom before I got it.

Q:
I installed 2 Champion 4 toilets. One seems to run off and on throughout the day. As if the flush valve wasn't closing all the way or there was a leak somewhere. Both a one piece models so there are only a couple spots to leak from and I don't see any of them as the culprit. could the valve not be sealing properly?

  Try using something to temporarily block the flush valve then check to see if it's still leaking. Hopefully this will rule out valve sealed or not. Good luck!

- A:
  I have seen (and repaired) a Champion that was leaking into the bowl (very slowly), for a client who had "hard" water. Inside the tank, there is a brass circular ring, held to the tank by 4 screws; it is the "seat" for the flush release gadget that lets water into the bowl (the flush)... underneath that ring is a spongy rubber gasket. The hard water had made mineral deposits on this ring where it touches brass, and created a channel (water was slowly leaking into the bowl, emptying the tank, and causing it to refill 'suddenly'). The FIRST time I repaired it by replacing it with a new gasket and polishing away the deposits, the problem came back in a couple of months. The SECOND (and last) time I repaired it, I applied a LOT of silicone rubber between the brass and gasket (really, a LOT)... problem hasn't recurred.

Q:
I have AS 2034.014 and i noticed that the tank is not lined with insulation like the normal styrofoam insulation. Will this tank sweat given the water will be cold and room temp is higher. I didnt see any review mentioned about tank sweating. I thought all tanks are lined or insulated to avoid this problem?

  You have to special order a tank with a liner in it. They do not automatically come with liners in them. It is poosible for it to sweat if the water is very cold and the room is very humid.

Q:
Good morning.
I have an older Champion toilet and it will not stop filling...the tank will fill the flush vavle will close but it will continue to have burst to fill the tank. I have already replace the entire flush valve, any other ideas?
Also the current diagrams of the flush tower do not look like the model I have (I have no side mounted pvc filler tube)?

  It indicates it is a taller bowl. The standard height is 15inches, and right height is 16 1/2. This measures from the finished floor to the tip of the rim.

Q:
I currently have two Gerber stools and one American Standard stool in my townhouse. The one Gerber produce is the constantly plugging up and is the one with the most direct dump into the sanitary pipe. Can you recommend one of your products that will fix that. I'm not sure of the color but is either bone, or bisque. We do not want a noisy flush sound but do want the elongated lid style. We want value but not the most expensive model either. Thanks
