The product has exceeded our expectations in how well it flushes. Living in an area with very high water rates the dual flush and water saving features have already impactied our quarterly bill. Will install a second one in our other bathroom within the next couple of months.

We bought two: for the Master & Guest Bathrooms. What an improvement from traditional technology! Nothing at all to knock, other than for "dummies" using the Guest Bath, I made clear adhesive labels saying "Push for #1" & "Push for #2".

This was an all-time-great purchase. Thank you, American Standard!

Live in rural area using well/septic system. Bought this toilet for obvious reasons & it has been one of the best buys EVER! LOVE the height (getting older so better for me!) & the dual flush/ water saving feature since I do have a well which can be worrisome, especially with the droughts we've had. Thank you American Standard - very very pleased with the 2 toilets we installed by ourselves!

PLeased with everything about this toilet - comfort height, dual flush is wonderful, ever clean bowl works well and the siphon flush is quick and clean. Installation was clean and quick. Had a minor problem with flush valve adjustment, but a call to customer service was a pleasant experience and solved it beautifully.

Within about 3-months of buying & installing our dual-flush toilet it has started to "run" periodically. There's such a small amount of water in the bowl, is it evaporating & the tank senses it & adds more water? What causes the water to turn on when not in use?
Asked on 1/10/2012 by Anonymous from Buckley, Washington

                1 answer

                • CUSTOMER CARE

                  A:

Thank you for your questions on your toilet. The mysterious draining bowl can be checked by doing certain test. If you take a 3-gallon bucket of water, and slowly add the water, until the water level stays the same, mark the inside of your bowl with a grease pencil or crayon. Check the tank in an hour and see where the level of the water is. You may reach a place where the water may settle about 1/4"-1/2" from the mark, and that is fine. If the water has gone down significantly, then there may be a problem with a leak in the bowl somewhere.

Be sure that you do not flush any other toilets in the house during the same time. You may have another toilet that is causing the problem by stealing the water from this toilet. Very often we see that the water lines must have a separate drain into the outlet drain when installing a high-pressure toilet. The venting required for a high-pressure toilet will cause extra suction to drain the bowl of another toilet in the house. Back to back installations of toilets require a "Y" connection to prevent this problem. In two-story houses, the pressure assist toilet should be installed with a separate drain line leading to the common drain, or have a larger pipe to prevent the suction from taking the water from the other toilet. Also in some flat-level installations, if the two lines meet at a 90 degree drain, and not a "Y" drain, the one toilet will suck the water from the other toilet.

If this is not the case, and the bowl drains on its own, you may have a leak in the bowl. This is a problem that cannot be diagnosed over E-mail, but you will need to talk to a customer service representative.
