I have this toilet for a year now and it flushes fast any in the first try. The height is much better then older models.I did have a slight issue the first month with the clip that attaches to the end of the chain to pick up the fush stopper. I would have used a round key chain type in place of the triangle open at the bottom type that they used. I re-crimped the clip and it works great. I contacted American Standard and they sent me a complete flushing mechanism with tool within days. I would buy this toilet again and am happy with my choice.

I need a 14 inch rough in. Our house is 107 years old so I would like something that would fit in. Can you give me a list of the toilets that fit the 14 inch rough in specification?

              • Q:

I purchased a Williamsburg toliet and sink from Home Depot several years ago. The toliet was installed right away and the sink at a later date. I had purchased the American Standard Williamsburg faucet with the polished brass finish at the same time. I recently installed the sink with the polished brass finish faucet and discovered that the lever on the toliet does not match. Is there a replacement corner mount lever in polished brass or white porcelin with brass accents.

My only dissatisfaction with this toilet is that I think the water level in the bowl is too low. The water in the tank comes to the top of the fill tube, but it just seems like there should be more water in the bowl. Is there any way to adjust this? Maybe a higher fill tube? Thanks

Unfortunately, due to the water saver laws the toilets are designed to have 2.5" to 3" max of water in the trap way.

              • Q:

The 1 piece Champion 4 toilets seem to have less space between the finished wall and the back of the toilet than the 2 piece units do. I don't see the exact measurement mentioned anywhere on the spec sheet. My bathroom is being remodeled and they had to bring the wall out 1/2 inch so the middle of my drain is now 11 1/2 inches from the wall instead of 12 inches. Do I have enough room for a 1 piece?

                  A:

This information actually is listed on the specification sheet. With having 11.5" rather than 12", it will make this installaion tight if not impossible. I would suggest going with a two-piece rather than a one-piece.

                • CUSTOMER CARE

                  A:

Condensation is due to the temperature of the water inside the tank adjusting to ambient tempurature in the room. One option is purchasing an insulated tank. Another option is to mix the incoming water to the tank with hot to temper.

                  A:

The closet bolts may not have been properly secured during installation. It should not be necessary to remove the bowl to re-tighten the closet bolts.
