    I have the same problem as Dennis. I installed 2 new Cadet 3 toilets in May of 2011 and both leak. I replaced the flapper in the one that leaks the most and it continues to leak at the same rate. I have resorted to shutting off the water when I know company is not coming over. I replaced a powerflush toilet with one of the Cadet 3 toilets and am extremely satisfied with it's performance except for these problems. Help?

      A:

      Make sure you are not using "in tank" drop in cleaners, the high chloride content will affect the flapper. Call American Standard directly to receive free warranty replacements.

  • Q:

    I install many of these Cadet 3 elongated models in my properties; a couple appear to have that "run-too-often" problem; I can see that the round rubber (it's blue; about 4" diameter) gasket has slightly deformed inside; I tried turning it upside down; and that helped for a while; but I do need replacements; where/how can I get them?

    my almost 3 year old cadet 3 toilet leaks, it runs about every 6 minutes. I replaced the flap and it still leaks, what can it be?
