    How do you reposition water control and float so it does not rub against tank foam liner? How do you do it without breaking the mechanism off? Does it turn?

  • Q:

    The float in the tank rubs against the foam insulation and causes the tank to not shut-off. What should I do to fix this? Brand new tank, just installed.

    Also the trip lever kept coming off, only when I removed the brass wash did it tighten and stay on. Is just the rubber gasket and plastic nut ok?

      A:

      Repositioning the water control will allow more clearance between the insulating liner and the float. The rubber gasket and nut will be sufficient to retain the trip lever.
