  • Q:

    After installation the urinal is draining slow, and almost to the point of backing up. It also has burping issues. I drilled a small hole into the top of the drain cap, which allevieated some of the burping, but that still hasn't given me the drainage speed needed for normal use. Any advice would be helpful.

      A:

      It sounds like there is an obstruction in the line, or a venting issue. Check the vents, and clean out the drain line, this should resolve your issue.

    Is there a writen protocal for the cleaning and maintenance for these units? What to and not to do? We are having issues with a fluit (thicker liquid) in the bottom of the units, how long should they last?

    what is the rough in height C/L of a 6155.100 waterless urinal non ADA its for my house the instructions say drain must have standard urinal flange got that 2 inch female brass with hardware but i do not know how far off finish floor to center 2 inch pipe

    Does american standard make a waterless urinal that can accommodate a 20" existing drain height from finished floor to center of drain or spud. It appears that most waterless urinals require a 16" height from floor to center spud (roughly). I find this strange since most existing flush type urinals I have encountered are around 20" from floor to center drain or spud. I thought the whole idea behind the waterless urinals was to accommodate retrofit applications. Please let me know if there is a product that can help. Thanks

      Unfortunately American Standard does not currently offer a waterless urinal that will accomodate a 20" high existing drain.
