  • Q:

Washout flush action. Does this meen the operation is to fill up the urinal and dilute the urin and drain slow?
    Asked on 3/28/2012 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

In a washout urinal, water runs down the rim holes which washes the side walls, floods the sump (bowl area) and a water exchange is made exiting through a bottom outlet. This method is like a dilution process.

  • Q:

I need to change out the dilution urinals to a siphon jet. Tenants in our large office building do not like the diluted urine, they want clear water. Is there a siphon-jet urinal that will bolt up without tearing the wall and tile up for new hangers etc?
Asked on 8/26/2010 by scott from Washington DC

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

There is not a direct replacement to change this urinal from a washout type to a siphon jet. Please visit our Pro site at http://americanstandardpro.com/default.aspx to review the various urinals offered.
