    I am debating whether to order a vanity top that extends 1/2" beyond my cabinet edge on each side vs 1". Are there pros and cons for each?

      The are not necessarily any pros or cons for either. It more or less and matter of preference. In most applications, a 1/2" overhang is widely accepted.
