It is very comfortable and I am very satisfied with it. The only problem I had was with the button for the jets. have to make sure it stays connected.

We had a professional install this. We not brave enough to try this on our own. We love the tub. I am 6 ft tall. I can stretch out with PLENATY of room. It's heavenly. The jets are well positioned and adjustable. The style and design look fabulous!!

Get the heater. It does a great job. It warms the water to a temp higher than what I used to fill it. Saves on the gas bill!

OMG!!! I love this tub! It's my 1st whirlpool tub. I purchased the heater too. The water is never cold! Installation was easy (I didn't do it, but I watched the plumber slide it in it's spot). Lots of jets, great circulation, good size (comfortably fits 2). I couldn't be happier. The only thing so far is some grout got stuck around the on button and it will not release. I called American Standard and they are over-nighting me a new button, which is easy to install. I am overjoyed with this product.

Q:
For installation, we can install the 7236LC either using a recess installation or a pier installation, correct? If using a pier installation, it looks like you need a length of at least 77 inches (70" for the tub and 7" for one 2x4 on either side) - is this right?

  The hole opening for the tub to fit in is minimum 70 1/2" X 34 1/2". On a standard framing you are correct but maybe someone can get creative with the framing. Thank you.

Q:
I bought my tub in 2009 August (Model 7236LC.020) from Homdepot. Now the water has started draining all the time and will not fill up.
The water drains with pop up mechanism, push down the first time and it used to seal the tub and I could fill it with water. Then I push down again and it drains all the water.
Now when I push down the first time it does not seal like before and the water keeps draining.
I unscrewed the drainage cap and noticed a rubber washer. Is this what is causing the problem?
If so how do I get a new washer for this?

I have just installed the tub and 4 of the jets are not working. All of the jets that are not working seem to be associated with the same air control knob, which is the one closest to the drain on the side that has two air control knobs. What could be the issue?

Q:
Hello,

I tried out the whirlpool tub for the first time and it worked as expected. Upon purchasing the EZ heater and installing it which was simple, I then filled the tub to try it out for the 2nd time. Meaning, this was only the 2nd time the whirlpool tub was to be turned on since I purchased it. Unfortunately, the tub did not turn one when I pressed the button.

Power to the unit is fine and the plug for the heater is lit when plugged in, but the pump is silent. This is most surprising to me as I had the tub for a long time until finishing my basement where it worked the first time I used it. Only trying to use it after installing the heater, the pump would not turn on.

I just filled it above the jets again pressing the power button and nothing. I'll leave it filled until this is resolved to save water. Please suggest what could possibly cause this as I'm quite shocked where it worked fine prior to installing the heater and now won't even power on.

  Thank you for the response. Having the heater and pump in the same outlet was not the problem. That was one of the first things tried. After looking further into it, I found that from installing the heater, I must have bumped the power cable to the button which had fallen out. After fishing it back in, it turned on fine. That cable should be soldered in place from the factory as finding this was most shocking. Now to see how well that heater keeps the water warm as it had no impact on heating a tub of cold water.
