spacious feel in small footprintthis shower base looks great and feels spacious in a small footprint.
DO read the installation instructions (available on-line) before purchasing.
-the shower base was clearly intended for use with the matching doors (which we bought) and has a very low lip on the open side so i’m not sure how it would work with a shower curtain
-although the spec sheet says 48” + or – 3/16”, our base was precisely 48”. our opening wasn’t a full 48” and a toilet prevented us from sliding it in from the front so we did need to be a bit creative getting it in place
-the front apron is the only perimeter edge that touches the floor. since our floor wasn’t level, we first poured a swath of self leveling compound wide enough for the apron to sit on giving us a level front edge to start with
-after dry fitting the base and getting it roughly level using shims, we used marbles (be sure to plug the drain first) to make sure that the tub would drain from all angles
-we used about 3/4 of a bag of bedding mortar when permanently setting the base
the end product looks great and drains well.

Does not drain properlyThe floor of the shower base does not slope to the drain at all so I have puddles after a shower that do not drain.
