This is a perfect match for the toilet seat that came on the American Standard Cadet toilet originally. It appears to be very solidly made and slow close feature works great.

The American Standard 5020A65G Traditional Elongated Closed-Front Toilet Seat is an excellent replacement for all elongated toilets. The Slow Close prevents the bag commonly associated with having children in the house and the Everclean is peace of mind when it comes to keeping everything clean.

Nothing fits!
Unfortunately this lid is not right for the older toilet we are trying to accommodate. it is awfully spendy for something that is not any better than what we replaced. I so wanted this to be the right size and fit, but it isn't. The seat itself is fine, but we are still in search of the right one.

Great style with poor mechanical durability
This "Luxury" toilet seat was installed with our new American Standard toilet during a bathroom remodel. The toilet and seat are now less then three years old and the "slow" close lid no longer functions. We are disappointed in the mechanical durability of this toilet seat. Other brands of slow close toilet seats have performed well for a decade in our other bathrooms and under heavier daily use. What's up American Standard?

Not as happy with it as I thought I would be
Purchased the seat about a year ago and it has discolored on the top of the lid and has stained. It's as if the color is coming off and look dull. Looked great when I first put it on but not so much now. I thought with what it cost, it would stay nice looking for a while.
