The surface of the still water in the toilet bowl, when filled between flushes, is often referred to as a toilet’s water spot or water surface. There are many factors that determine the size of a toilet’s water spot including but not limited to the toilet bowl geometry and the location of the toilet weir. Why is a toilet water spot important? If a toilet is not engineered for the right size water spot it could create a situation where flushing does not remove all of the waste completely.
