LAS VEGAS, HD EXPO (May 4, 2016) ― Bathrooms are a common place for germs and bacteria to harbor and spread. Not so with the ActiVate technology from American Standard. Developed to provide a hygienic, no-touch toilet flush, ActiVate toilets also deliver the high performance and water savings demanded by today’s homeowners.
To flush the toilet, simply wave a hand within two inches of the sensor. The ActiVate touchless flush sensor is calibrated to deliver consistent, optimal performance every time you flush. No touching means fewer germs and that equals healthier living.
For super simple maintenance, the toilet bowl base features straight, smooth sides, so you can clean with ease. Plus, the toilet and seat include EverClean, the antimicrobial additive that inhibits the growth of stain and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew on the surface, helping the toilet stay cleaner, longer.
Unlike other touchless toilets, the American Standard ActiVate models feature a manual flush button conveniently located on the sensor, on the outside of the toilet tank. That means quick and easy access, and no wet hands. ActiVate toilets also provide simple, one-step deactivation to power the sensor off to avoid accidental flushes while cleaning the toilet.
The ActiVate touchless flush sensor is powered by four AA batteries that last up to two years, assuming an average of 12 flushes per day. A low-battery indicator lets you know when it’s time to replace them.
These ActiVate high efficiency toilets (HETs) achieve the highest bulk removal score on the Maximum Performance (MaP) test, an independent report of toilet performance. The ActiVate toilets can successfully flush 1,000 grams (2.2 pounds) of waste while using a water-saving 1.28 gallons per flush (gpf). They meet stringent WaterSense-certification criteria from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for providing high performance while using 20 percent less water than standard toilet models.
This optimum operation is driven by the exclusive American Standard PowerWash bowl cleaning technology that provides a quiet, yet powerful flush that scrubs the bowl with pressurized water from the rim during every flush to remove every last trace of paper and waste.
Complementing the ActiVate concealed trapway toilet models are the clean design lines of the Studio fixture and faucet collection. Consisting of simplistically-styled bathroom sinks and matching vanity, plus drop-in bathtubs and air baths, the line is highlighted with striking Studio sink faucets, a tub/shower set and deck mount tub filler.
A decorative, high quality seat is included with each ActiVate toilet model, as is an EZ-Install kit designed to make installation speedy and trouble-free. These HETs are protected by a limited lifetime warranty on chinaware, a five-year limited warranty on mechanical parts and a one-year limited warranty on both the electronics and the seat.
ActiVate toilet models are available at kitchen and bath showrooms, wholesalers, and retailers nationwide. Prices range from $635 to $661, depending on style.
