PISCATAWAY, N.J. (April 18, 2012) — Based on recommendations from more than 150 professional plumbers, American Standard has created the Champion PRO and Cadet PRO toilet series that offer distinctive features available exclusively through wholesale distribution.

Drawing largely on the quality and single-flush performance from twoof the industry’s most powerful siphonic flushing platforms, the new American Standard toilets consume just 1.28 gallonsper flush (gpf), while virtually eliminating clogs, noisy flushes and the dreaded overflow. Since these PRO series high efficiency toilets (HET) use 20 percent less water than standard 1.6 gpf models, they qualify for U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) WaterSense®-certification, for which approval is currently pending.

Champion PRO and Cadet PRO flush valve technology drives water rapidly into the bowl for greater flushing power. The Champion PRO has a large 4-inch piston-action accelerator flush valve with the industry’s largest siphonic 2-3/8-inch trapway, while the Cadet PRO has an oversized 3-inch flush valve with a siphonic 2-1/8-inch trapway. These proven flushing platforms have earned the PRO series the highest possible score in the Maximum Performance (MaP) test, an independent report of toilet bulk removal performance, with their capacity to successfully flush 1,000 grams (2.2 pounds) of solid waste.

In addition, these HETs feature unique tank designs complete with metal shank fill valves for lasting durability, exclusive to this professional series, as well as metal trip levers in a variety of stylish finish options that include oil rubbed bronze. Trip levers can be installed for either right- or left-hand orientation

• PowerWash – the bowl cleaning system that scrubs the bowl with pressurized water from the rim during every flush to remove every last trace of paper and waste. This siphonic-action technology ensures a powerful flush and superior bowl cleaning, every time, with only 1.28 gpf.
• EverClean –the unique permanent finish from American Standard that inhibits the growth of stain and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew on the surface, helping toilets stay cleaner, longer. Unlike some competitor products that offer these types of surfaces as an option, every PRO series toilet includes the American Standard EverClean surface at no extra cost.
• Installation Ease – each PRO series toilet also includes EZ-Install installation kits designed to ensure that floor bolts remain upright, the tank-to-bowl connection process is streamlined, and the time-consuming task of bolt cutting is eliminated.
  
  

The Champion PRO series, available in Right Height elongated and Right Height round front models, is conveniently offered in 12-inch rough-in configurations, either with or without a tank liner and locking tank cover. All Champion PRO models are backed by a 10-year limited warranty on both tank and trim.

The Cadet PRO series of toilets is available in five bowl shapes and two tank sizes. The Cadet PRO bowls include Right Height elongated, Right Height round front, compact Right Height elongated, elongated, and round front. The Cadet PRO offerings can be configured to satisfy 10-inch, 12-inch and even a 14-inch rough-in, while the alternate tank features include with or without tank liner and locking tank cover. All Cadet PRO models have a 5-year limited warranty on both tank and trim.
