A loose toilet seat can become a nuisance – but it is easy to remedy this issue on your own. Follow along with this how-to guide to learn the proper way to tighten a loose American Standard Fluent toilet seat in four easy steps. 

STEP 1: Begin by lifting up the seat, and simultaneously press the buttons and pull up to remove it.  

STEP 2: Remove the hinge covers. 

STEP 3: Using a screwdriver, tighten the screws – be careful not to overtighten. 

STEP 4: Replace the hinge covers, and place the seat back onto the toilet hinges. 

Your Fluent toilet seat is now secure and ready for use.
